What is the Laudato Si' Action Platform?
Pope Francis has invited us all to participate in the Vatican’s global Laudato Si’ Action Platform.  The platform is intended to educate, inspire and activate all Catholics to embrace and act upon the teachings of Laudato Si' and to care for creation. The ultimate goal is to put our faith into action so that together we fulfill God's commandments to truly care for his creation. SJN, along with other parishes and the encouragement of the diocese, is embracing Pope Francis' Laudato Si' Seven-Year Plan. More details are provided below as the plan is being developed and implemented. Please visit the Vatican's Laudato Si' Action Platform and the Catholic Climate Covenant's We're all part of God's plan(et) | (godsplanet.us) web site for additional information.
Saint John Neumann is a Laudato Si' Parish! The Year 3 LSAP was accepted by Fr. Michael and submitted to the Vatican's web site. Use this link for a complete history of SJN's LSAP:

SJN completed the three phases of the Laudato Si' Action Platform:
(1) Enrolling where SJN commits to creating our own Laudato Si’ Plan, specified in the Parish Pastoral Planet;
(2) Reflecting on how the Laudato Si’ Goals connect with core values of loving kindness, responsible stewardship of our place in creation, and care for the most vulnerable.
(3) Developing concrete action plans, on a year-to-year basis, that outline our shared journey to sustainability in the holistic spirit of integral ecology.   The Plans were developed by CCH with involvement from Parish staff.  We presented the Plan to the Pastoral Council, See presentation HERE. We also met with Fr. Michael to go over the Year 3 plan before submitting.

You can join the global movement by becoming a  Laudato Si' Family/Household.

People on the Laudato Si’ journey are willing to transform their hearts and lifestyles to develop right relationships with God, humanity and creation. Tow such groups have been formed at SJN, and we are encouraging others to join. Contact our ministry for more information and guidance. [email protected]
